Copy rooms between levels

Being able to copy rooms between levels in some way from the map view would be nice. It'd be useful for things like the D.S.S. SoulEye and other recurring structures.
Response from the site administrator
Dav999, 28.12.2015
As of a42, you can copy the data of any room to the system clipboard and paste it in another room.

When quicksaving, "Quicksaving level..." should show while quicksaving

So it doesn't look like pressing Ctrl+S to quicksave is delayed.

When will script go-to buttons on customifflag and customiftrinkets happen?

PLS
Response from the site administrator
Dav999, 17.12.2015
It was just a bit broken because it required no spaces to be in the command to add the "Go to" buttons correctly.

Fixed in a38.

EDIT: The real issue was the lines belonged to text boxes so they didn't get a "go to" button, this has now been changed in a38.

You should be able to rotate rooms (both tiles and entities)

So people can be more lazy with their level design.
Response from the site administrator
Dav999, 03.01.2016
Why not, along with flipping horizontally and vertically.

Edit: you can now rotate rooms by 180° in a46 (but not yet the entities)

Edit 2: function to rotate rooms by 180° is now complete in a47, so as far as the original idea is concerned, this is finished.

Enemy bounds and Platforms bounds

Add these two features in the next update, thanks :D
Response from the site administrator
Dav999, 06.01.2016
Will be added soon.

Edit: Bounds are now shown and can now be edited, albeit in a bit of a weird way. Please read the changelog for more information.

when right-clicking on a script and selecting "delete", after confirming that you want to delete it it just says "rvnum: 2" and nothing is changed
Response from the site administrator
Dav999, 16.04.2016
I was working on the feature to delete scripts, but it's currently not yet finished. It'll be coming soon!

EDIT: Feature added in a60

Response from the site administrator
Dav999, 17.04.2016
You can press ctrl+P anywhere to go to the start point, or right click the start point tool.

Ved crashing in scripts

Response from the site administrator

platform speed not being changed in b7

when loading a level, the platform speeds in all rooms are reset to their default, and attempting to change it does nothing.
Response from the site administrator
Dav999, 16.06.2016
Can't seem to reproduce this, saving platform speeds and loading them in both Ved and VVVVVV works fine for me. But I remember working on a level ages ago where I tried to change the platform speed for a specific room (by editing the .vvvvvv) and I kept failing to get it to work- is this happening in specific rooms or in all rooms? Does Ved show the platform speed for such a room as 4 after saving and loading? Can you give me coordinates of a room in which it's not working?

You can already create straight horizontal/vertical lines by holding the "[" and "]" keys to lock the Y and X cursor positions.

Unfortunately this level was actually saved with b4. This can be found in the level file:

<levelMetaData>
$EDLEVELCLASSES$ </levelMetaData>
<script>$SCRIPT$</script>

Nevertheless, it should now be possible to open a level like this in b8.

if both [ and ] are held, let the cursor only move vertically and horizontally

right now if you hold [ and ] it just locks the cursor in place until one of them is let go, which has no use whatsoever and was probably implemented by accident

Be able to size the screen to what i see fit.

I am unable to use the editor due to having made it way too large for my laptop screen. at the very least, make a key that can start a new level immediately.
Response from the site administrator
Dav999, 01.08.2016
Is your scaling set to 2?

Open %appdata%\LOVE\ved\settings.lua (on Mac it's Application Support instead of %appdata%) and make sure s.scale is set to 1.

EDIT: b12 now automatically resets the scale if the window won't fit on the screen.

gravity/warp lines don't immediately update when they're moved

http://i.imgur.com/1yRJY1T.gif
Response from the site administrator
Dav999, 22.12.2016
Hmmm... It's also possible to change the gravity line length manually with that dialog (which someone might want to do and not have their settings overridden the moment they save), but I'll make it check whether only the x/y position has changed, and if so, correct all lines in the room.

Edit: done in b17

Discrepancy of tiles that block gravity lines.

I've noticed that not all tiles that block gravity lines in VVVVVV do so when you place them in Ved. So far I've found that tiles #2-5, 10-13, 18-25, and 40-48 in tiles2 behave incorrectly, but there may be more, especially since I've only tested...

Auto load script

It would be cool if when you select the 'internal' scripting option without a load script, it can offer to create an iftrtinkets(0,script) script with the same name as the internal script, followed by "load". If there is already a script with that...
Response from the site administrator
Dav999, 10.02.2017
Ved 1.1 will have a way to create load scripts when placing the terminal or script box: when typing the script name, instead of pressing enter, you can press shift+enter to create a load script with an unused flag, and ctrl+enter to create one
with just iftrinkets(0,script).

how do i test the level?

i spent a whole 15 minutes trying to find out how to test my level, but did not find how. any help?
Response from the site administrator
Dav999, 10.03.2017
Ved doesn't come with a built-in testing function unfortunately (since it'd be too hard to accurately replicate every bit of VVVVVV's physics and all other things that the engine has to offer.) So you need to have VVVVVV open beside it, and when you want to test, just quicksave in Ved, load in VVVVVV, and then test it there.

What I can imagine happening in the future, is integrating specially made (stripped) versions of VVVVVV Make & Play which can instantly load a level and start testing in a specific room at specific coordinates, depending on passed arguments. I'd need to talk with Terry about that, though.

level notepad save question

if someone uses the level notepad, saves the dimension and shares it, if another user would open the dimension in VED and look at level notepad, would the user see the current notes?
Response from the site administrator
Dav999, 28.03.2017
